ABC World News Tonight with David Muir Full Broadcast – Dec. 10, 2025

David Muir, ABC’s World
News Tonight, America’s most watched newscast. Now streaming same day with
all the breaking news of the day on Disney Plus. Most watched, most trusted. Now on Disney Plus every night. Tonight, there is breaking news
just as we come on the air. Dramatic images
coming in right now. U.S. forces seizing
an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela. A major escalation tonight,
heavily armed U.S. Coast Guard forces
repelling from Navy helicopters, guns drawn
as they hit the deck, fanning out across the ship. We’ll go live to Martha
Raddatz with late reporting. Also this dangerous
storm tonight sweeping into the Northeast near
whiteout conditions from Michigan to New York to
Maine, dangerous driving. Minneapolis declaring
a snow emergency. The 47-year-old man killed by
a plow at the airport, while in the West at this hour, the
flooding emergency playing out. Tonight dramatic images showing
a car racing down an airport taxiway, speeding past passenger
jets, air traffic control having to alert the pilots. The major turn tonight,
the deadly shooting on a college campus, and
authorities now believe the gunman was a parent of one
of the students at the school. Outside Boston tonight, the
husband on trial for murder. The jury seeing video
and receipts prosecutors say show him buying a
hacksaw, hatchet, buckets. Tonight one of the last people
to see the wife and mother of three alive on New Year’s
Eve taking the stand. The U.S. economy tonight, the Federal
Reserve cutting interest rates by a quarter point. What this could mean for
Americans and their mortgages, credit cards and car loans. The daring rescue and
you’ll see it, a helicopter rescuing a man on a boulder. Emergency crews did to help
him survive the night. Just in tonight, the
University of Michigan firing its head football coach amid
disturbing allegations. And tonight our Made in
America Christmas is back. If it’s good enough for
our fighter pilots, good enough for Robert Redford,
for John Hamm and Mad Men, how about for Under
the Christmas Tree? Tonight here we salute
our fighter pilots and the workers making these frames. Good evening. We do begin tonight here
with the breaking news. The U.S. with a major escalation
in its showdown with Venezuela tonight. The U.S. Coast Guard seizing
an oil tanker just off the Venezuelan coast. Late today, the Trump
administration releasing dramatic images showing
Navy helicopters flying in. Heavily armed Coast Guard forces
rappelling onto the deck, guns drawn as they
swarm the ship. What we’re now learning about
where the tanker was headed, and President Trump is asked,
what will he do with the oil? How he answers. The president tonight saying
the ship was seized for a quote, very good reason. Then the president
warning another country’s leader, he could be next. All of this comes amid the U.S. operation targeting
alleged drug boats, nearly two dozen strikes,
including that controversial second strike killing two
survivors off Venezuela. So tonight here, what’s
behind this latest action? The seizing of this oil tanker
amid escalating tensions between the U.S. and Venezuelan President
Nicolas Maduro. Martha Raddatz leading us off. Tonight, the dramatic
escalation, the U.S. Coast Guard forces are
searching for the ship. The U.S. Coast Guard is Navy
helicopters swooping in, swarming the ship. U.S. Coast Guard forces
rappelling down onto the deck, armed with long guns,
meticulously searching the ship. Late today, President
Trump before the cameras. We’ve just seized a tanker
on the coast of Venezuela, a large tanker, very large. Largest one ever
seized, actually. And other things are happening. Attorney General Pam Bondi
tonight says the tanker was used to transport sanctioned oil
from Venezuela and Iran and is part of an illicit oil shipping
network supporting foreign terrorist organizations. Sources telling ABC News it
was headed for Cuba, capable of carrying up to 2
million barrels of oil. It was seized for
very good reason. Today’s seizure marking
the first time the U.S. has overtly interfered
with oil exports, Venezuela’s main
source of revenue. What happens to the
oil on this ship? Well we keep it I guess. Until now the U.S. has been targeting boats they say are carrying drugs,
striking at least 22 boats and killing nearly 90 people,
including two survivors at the heart of the
latest controversy. A growing number
of Republicans now demanding the video of
that second strike on survivors be released but
so far the administration hasn’t budged tonight
seizure of that oil tanker marks a new chapter in
the pressure campaign on Venezuelan President Nicolas
Maduro so how far would you go to take Maduro out of
office I don’t want to say that but but you want to
see him out his days are numbered can you rule out
an American ground invasion I don’t want to rule in or
out I don’t talk about it late today Venezuela calling
the seizure of the tanker a blatant robbery and
David make no mistake the US seizure of that oil
tanker off Venezuela is a significant escalation
you saw those images of the US Navy helicopter
storming that tanker. The US now has 15,000 forces in the region and it’s
not just Venezuela. Late today President
Trump warning Colombia’s president that
he better wise up or he’ll be next. David. Martha Raddatz
leading us off in Washington tonight. Martha, thank you. Also tonight this
dangerous fast-moving winter storm pushing its
way into the northeast at this hour. Winter weather to New
York to Maine, heavy snow in many places near
whiteout conditions up to a foot of snow in some spots. Minneapolis declaring a snow
emergency cars off highways. A 47 year old man was killed
by a plow at the airport and then right behind all of this
yet another storm moving in and then life threatening cold. We have the forecast and
Stephanie Ramos is in Buffalo. >> Tonight extreme weather
coast to coast wreaking havoc water rescues from major
flooding in the West. And an Arctic air fueled
snowstorm from the Midwest all the way east. Up to 8 inches of snow slamming
parts of Minnesota drivers stranded all over the twin
cities overnight Minneapolis declaring a snow emergency. Authorities say a 47 year-old
man was hit and killed by a snow plow in a parking lot
at a Minneapolis St. Paul Airport facility. In Wisconsin, an army of plows
trying to keep up with the snow all over Green Bay. This jackknife to track the
trailer spotted on northbound Interstate 81 south of Syracuse
New York, you can see the massive traffic backup it
created in the Pacific Northwest flooding intensifying
from multiple rounds of record breaking rain. This gas station underwater. that are underwater behind me. First responders using
boats to bring multiple people to dry land south of
Seattle in Orting authorities warning up to 75,000
people to be ready to evacuate low lying areas. David here in Buffalo
temperatures are set to plummet tonight with wind chills
in the single digits. The big concern now is black ice and that arctic air
will fuel more lake effect snow through tomorrow night. David, that lake effect
snow machine we all know well, Stephanie, thanks. Let’s get right to
meteorologist Danny Beckstrom from W. A. B. C. Hi, Danny. Hey, David, this is a
quick hitter, but it packs a punch for sure. Snow moving across the eastern Great Lakes into northern
New England tonight. A slick evening commute with some areas getting over
a half foot of snow here along the I-95
corridor, mainly rain. It wraps up late tonight. Then attention turns
to another arctic blast sweeping east subzero
wind chills from Minneapolis to Chicago this weekend, feeling
like the teens in New York City by Friday morning. Meanwhile, rivers in
western Washington continue to rise with more
rain on the way tonight. Heavy rain in the
highest elevations will exacerbate river flooding
through the end of the week. David Danny Beckstrom
and the team at W. A. B. C. Thanks so much. We turn now to dramatic
images tonight showing a car racing past passenger planes
down a busy airport taxiway. Air traffic controllers alerting
pilots in Orange County, California. Here’s Gio Benitez. Tonight, tense moments
on the tarmac. A car seen speeding past
taxing planes at Orange County’s John Wayne
Airport south of L. A. Pilots sounding the
alarm as the vehicle flew past them Monday afternoon. Air traffic control warning
all pilots to stay in place. Sheriff’s deputies chasing
down the vehicle and detaining the driver, a security guard. The airport telling ABC News
the individual was evaluated on scene and determined
to be experiencing a possible medical emergency. after that remarkable cra of Orlando, a small plane now releasing 911 calls a

were not injured. And Dav vehicle on the tarmac. Th was taken to a local hosp The airport says that ope
but of course a very conc No question about that. G Tonight there’s a major n in the deadly campus shoot at
Kentucky State University. Tonight, authorities now say
the shooter was a parent of one of the students
at the school. Here’s Matt Rivers. Tonight, 48-year-old Jacob Lee
Bard is charged with murder after allegedly opening
fire on two students outside a dorm on Kentucky
State University’s campus. Police say Bard, who is
a parent of a student at that university, was the,
quote, “active aggressor” in a physical altercation
with the two men and shot them
during the dispute. They got an active shooter. I think they’ve
got him detained. 19 year old Dajon
Darrell Fox Jr. died from his injuries. The other student in critical but stable condition. Fox’s family speaking
to our affiliate WRTV. It’s not fair. It’s not fair. Take my brother’s baby
officials now pouring over security cameras on
campus as well as video circulating online
that appears to show a student being attacked. Investigators working to
determine if the incident possibly played into a
motive for the shooting. We have collected that
video and have that we were able to get video from
campus has a lot of good security cameras. We were able to gather that students and faculty shaken
just days before winter break. Why was this
even able to happen? Why was this even something that could have happened? David classes remain canceled
at the University for the rest of the week as authorities
continue to try and figure out why the parent of a
Student at that school would allegedly open fire
David map rivers with us again tonight Matt
Thanks so much outside Boston tonight the husband
on trial for murder his wife a mother of three
Disappearing on New Year’s Day the jury seeing video
what prosecutors say he bought after her disappearance
and tonight here testimony from one of the last People
to see that woman alive Here’s Aaron Koterski. Tonight prosecutors
resting their murder case against Brian Walsh after
showing the jury this video they say shows him
buying a hacksaw, hatchet, buckets and other supplies
he allegedly used to kill and dismember his wife
Anna, a mother of three. Today one of the last people to see Anna Walsh alive. Her friend and former boss fought back tears as he
recalled spending New Year’s Eve with the couple at
their home south of Boston. Anna came running out of
the house to greet me. The friend testified it
was a festive evening with the couple, but four days
later Brian Walsh called to say Anna had gone missing
after she left for a work emergency before dawn
on New Year’s morning. I was incredulous. I said what work emergency could there have been on
New Year’s Eve? The final witness, Anna
Walsh’s close friend. Do you recognize that picture? Yes. Breaking down
on the witness stand as she testified
the Walsh’s marriage was falling apart. She told me how upset she was
and how frustrating that was and how she was really
at a breaking point. Anna Walsh’s body has
never been found, David. Her husband admitted he
moved it but insisted he did not kill her. The defense starts tomorrow. David. A case being watched by the nation. Aaron Kotersky tonight. Aaron, thanks. Tonight, news on the U.S. economy here. The Federal Reserve
cutting interest rates by a quarter point, citing
a slowing job market. The move could ease some of the
pain for many Americans when it comes to mortgages,
credit cards and car loans. The Dow soaring on the
news, gaining 497 points, closing above 48,000. It all comes amid prices rising
for beef, coffee and produce. And President Trump
now defending his work on the economy. Let’s get right to Mary Bruce,
live at the White House tonight. David, President Trump is
defending his economic policies, well aware that
voters aren’t satisfied. A new poll showing 56% of
Americans disapprove of how he’s handling the cost of living. And today he was pressed on why
he calls affordability a “hoax”. The president arguing Democrats
are trying to make this more of an issue than it is. Meanwhile, there is news from
the Federal Reserve announcing they are cutting interest
rates by a quarter point. The president has been
pushing for steeper rate cuts, but today Chairman
Jerome Powell indicating not so fast, saying, quote,
“We are well positioned to wait and see how
the economy evolves.” David? Mary Bruce, live at the White House again
tonight for us. Mary, thank you. When we come back here, there’s
news coming in right now. A high school running team
has been hit by a vehicle, word of multiple injuries. Also tributes tonight for
a famous author behind a best-selling series. You’ll remember her. Also just in tonight, the
University of Michigan firing its head football
coach amid new and disturbing allegations tonight. A surprise delivery for
a pregnant mother riding in the back of one of
those self-driving taxis. How the company knew
she had given birth in the car with no driver. And our baited America Christmas
tonight, if it’s good enough for our fighter pilots, good
enough perhaps for Robert Redford and that movie you’ll
remember for John Hamm and Mad Men, we ask, is it good
enough for the Christmas tree? Tonight here we salute our
fighter pilots and the workers making these frames in a moment. Tonight there are late
images coming in. Authorities say a high
school running team struck by a driver, possibly under
the influence in Anaheim, California. Here are the images. A police say at least
eight people were hit. Multiple victims rushed
to the hospital. Authorities say the team was
waiting at an intersection at Harbor Boulevard and
West North Street. No word on the injuries. Tonight, the University of
Michigan firing its head football coach, Sharon Moore,
saying there is quote, “credible evidence” he
engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staffer. Moore led the Wolverines
for two seasons. A daring rescue tonight on a
treacherous trail on Arizona’s Camelback Mountain, a
helicopter on a routine patrol. Spotting a hiker stuck on top
of a large boulder last night. Crews using a drone to get
him blankets and food to get him through the night,
then plucking him off the mountain once the sun came up. When we come back here
tonight, we remember a best-selling author. You’ll remember her. She was behind a
best-selling series. And our Made in America
Christmas is back tonight. Some great new ideas
and what you’ve done. To the index of other news
tonight, a woman gave birth in the back of one of
those self-driving taxis. The company says the woman
was in labor and hailed a Waymo, a self-driving
taxi in San Francisco. The baby was delivered
in the backseat. She did it on her own. The company said its rider
support team detected unusual activity inside the vehicle,
called the passenger and 911. The mother and newborn arriving
safely at the hospital. We do have a passing
to note tonight. British author Sophie
Kinsella has died, best known for the series
Confessions of a Shopaholic. The nine novel sold tens
of millions of copies. Last year, she revealed
she had brain cancer. Sophie Kinsella was
actually her pen name. Author Madeline
Wickham was her name. She was just 55 years old. When we come back tonight, our
Made in America Christmas, if it’s good enough
for fighter pilots, for Robert Redford, for
Jon Hamm and Mad Men, how about Under
the Christmas Tree and What You’ve Done Tonight,
the big update in a moment. Finally tonight here, our
Made in America Christmas. This December we have been
all over this country and one idea will have
you flying high tonight. Tonight, 14 years and counting,
our Made in America Christmas, opening doors, shaking hands,
and hoping to create some American jobs for Christmas. We’re looking for the
heat this Christmas. Tonight, that hot sauce
trio gift set from Springs Fireplace, they tell
us sales skyrocketing. And from hot sauce
to pasta sauce. Wow, well more than 20,000
orders behind that garage door. The stingray spot remover. It got Oprah out
of a tough spot. I had half a Snickers
bar melted in my pants. OK, we’re going to do
a quick demo for you. Last night that quick demo
for World News Tonight. The wine stain
before and after the white dress before and after. More than 10,000 bottles sold
after our report last night. We love our viewers. Just this December alone
from Nevada, California, Georgia, North Carolina, New
York, Pennsylvania, Idaho, don’t forget the potato farmers. We’ve been all
over this country. This is quintessential
Made in America too. The Xero ice cream
scoop made in Avondale, all across America. It’s a good idea
for under the tree. They told us they sold more
scoops in one day than they do in an entire month. And tonight it’s good enough
for our fighter pilots. If it’s good enough
for Robert Redford and spy game, Don Draper,
John Hammond, Mad Men. Well, then it’s
good enough for our made in America Christmas. We go back to check in on a
company we profiled more than a decade ago when we started. Randolph Engineering in
Randolph, Massachusetts sold all over this country. And look who we
found in Chinatown. How you doing? Hi David. We’re looking for some
made in America frames. Oh, you came to the right place. The aviator frames,
the famous ones. Randolph Engineering,
three generations. His dad Jan from Poland. He was a navigator flying
on bombers for the British in World War II. He then came to America. Your father came to America with
$50 and some kitchen utensils. Yes. But he always had a mechanical mind. Working on the frames
in his basement. Decades later, they tell
us 200 individual steps from American workers
in each pair of frames. What are these? These are the 50th
anniversary limited edition. This is a celebration of
your history right here. Right there, yes it is. I love these. We try them on in front
of a few friends. What do you think? Great. Yeah, are you sure? Really handsome. Oh gosh, gosh. I bet she says that to
all the customers, but we sure appreciated it. The optometrist, Dr. Chin. Do people come in asking
for Made in America? They do, they do. Between Little Italy and
Chinatown, then you’ve got some Made in America glasses. Yes, me too. So I love that. Then we try the Shelbys. What do you think? The Shelbys or the… Dude, those, they both
look good on you. And what about saluting our
fighter pilots this Christmas? I want to see the pair that the
fighter pilots are wearing. This is what they wear up there,
flying those fighter jets. I’ll leave the hard
work to them though. We salute their service,
our fighter pilots, and we salute the workers
behind these glasses. They look a lot better than
we do with three words in mind this Christmas. We sure love made in America. Keep your ideas coming. Celebrating American
workers for Christmas. I’ll see you tomorrow night. Good night. David Muir, the most watched
newscast in America, and now ABC’s World News Tonight
has won the Emmy for Best Live News Program for the

  1. We don't need the oil that bad if that's the reason there's actually oil in the country here I think it's about intimidation and aggravation possibly Mr Trump you're going in the wrong way my brother turn that mother f*** around you're causing a lot of problems for this country bro thank you God bless America and have a great day

  2. Affordability is mostly not a political issue. It is a corporate America issue. They're greedy. If you get a raise and you raise minimum wage they will only raise the cost of living. Politically the way to handle this is don't raise your energy cost such as gas so that the transportation of our goods. The tariffs have been eaten not affecting your groceries. If you Google a CEO what they make per year, what the bonus themselves, and then how much the stock market made, and the dividends paid out that will tell you why your cost is so high.

  3. I watched ABC say after the Donald Trump speech that he said affordability was a hoax, that is exactly what he did not say, he said blaming it on him is the hoax. ABC immediately spun that the different way within an hour. What a disgrace for a news channel. What are the Republican or Democrat sooner or later you're going to have to hold the news responsible to tell the truth Wednesdays it's not going to go your way. To tell you the truth the economy would probably be doing better if everybody wasn't living in fear, from all the fear-mongering that the news is giving you. If you notice these things call your news. Email them. Send letters. Call them out on their lies.

  4. Most of the people that are boasting political statements, have not researched anything they just run their mouth. I googled the largest producer of beef in the United States. They're owned by a company in Brazil, so because we cannot regulate a Brazilian company even though they operate in America for whatever stupid reason that is, the only way to do that is bring another competitor and that is affordable and then Brazil will have to drop their meat. Other than that you will have to just go in and flat out regulate corporations and tell them what they can and can't do. So that is smart politics for Donald Trump to bring competition and to get your beef prices lower. When Donald Trump was president the first term the American economy was great I don't care how you vote that's just the facts everybody knew it and that's what the record showed. It was an economy like we have never seen. You can't expect the president to fix something that got destroyed in the last 4 years within 12 months
I know that my gas was $2 a gallon here in Florida 4 years ago. I know that in the last 4 years it went up to almost $4 a gallon. Joe biden's first week he canceled the pipeline coming down from Canada. So without more products your price goes up
Without competition price goes up. Use your brain
If you want to hate Donald Trump and hate Donald Trump. But he didn't cause the economy.

  5. Somali pirates dressed as US Coast Guard hijacked an oil tanker off the Caribbean coast today. You have stolen from the wrong Captain Sparrow.

  6. America is bankrupt. Money Fiat. Corrupt government. One Nation totally divided. Unto God's judgement. With liberty and justice for those who can afford it… Got to go to war again to pay off the debt bonds sold to foreign nations. Steal , kill and worship Lucifer, your god. Jesus Christ said to watch and pray that you be counted worthy to escape what is to come. The gospel shall be preached to all nations then the end comes. It is written

  7. My AARP United Healthcare annual Prescription cost last year was $27.50. The recent 2026 cost went up to $487.20! I dropped them immediately. Their excuse was that "the federal government is trying to cut waste and they had nothing to do with the increase." I don't even use it. Welcome to the Industrial Medical Military Complex. No more Healthcare, just Insurance care.

  8. Not certain stealing Venezuelan oil, one tanker at a time, is a good plan to fix any energy prices problem. LOL. WTF, first murdering human beings accused without one scintilla of evidence and now pirating oil tankers? We have a senile old man in charge, abetted by a drunken fool as Secretary of Defense, thinking he’s playing a video game

  9. That oil heist was purely highway robbery. Incredulous! And stock market 📈 soaring, interest rates dropping means more comes out of the pockets of ordinary Americans like me. The middle class will flip the bill for the well-off to thrive while we continue to struggle. The impact is worse for those full-time working parents who are not homeowners, perhaps single parenting, and taking care of an elder family member.

  10. dont flame arround they should not trade with drugs then they would be still allive or free whatever they deserve exactly what they get

  11. Still waiting for the mainstream media coverage of the largest tax/welfare fraud investigation in Minnesota….No mention on ABC, CBS, or NBC…Mr. Muir, you're all over the Epstien files, but have no idea what's transpiring in Minnesota apparently. Absolute joke.

  12. I CAME BACK HERE TO APOLOGIZE TO A LADY NAMED..I BELIEVE JEANIE. I MADE A STUPID MISPLACED COMMENT. I WAS STUCK ON THOSE DRUG BOATS. MY SISTER WAS GIVEN THOSE DURING HER YRS OF CANCER. MY ONLY SISTER. THIS LADY HAD CORRECTED ME…NOT IN THE KINDEST WAY. OF COURSE,NOT KNOWING I AM GOING THROUGH SOME STUFF. SHE WAS RIGHT. AND, I WAS MISDIRECTED ON MY COMMENT. I STAND CORRECTED. IT'S TWO SEPERATE COUNTRY ISSUES ALTOGETHER. I AM SO SORRY TO THAT LADY!!!! IT BOTHERED ME THE EXCHANGED WORDS. AND,HOW STUPID SHE MUST THINK I AM. I AM JUST A VERY SIMPLE PERSON. MAYBE I AM SIMPLED MINDED TOO. SORRY.
