Grandchildren of a monarch – if they aren’t the direct heirs kids – tend to fade into the general population as they age. The impression I get from Lady Louise is that she is perfectly fine with it and would like her profile to sink as far as possible into obscurity. This is a compliment, if it’s not clear.
The route is generally busy, so sitting on the floor isn’t surprising.
She seems like a well balanced and content person. Kudos to her parents. Given how active her mother is in representing the King and working successfully as a royal, her parents could have easily pushed their children into prominence like the York sisters. It’s wonderful that she’s able to be in charge of her own life choices. I think that is what the monarchy needs. People who are well adjusted and happy in their own skin. This whole being “normal” thing is pointless because they are not like everybody else.
She seems lovely and this reminds me how I used to travel when I was young, it’s great that she gets to have a fairly normal life. But can I ask Brits if this is a normal situation on trains? Don’t you have seat reservations? In my country, you automatically have a seat reservation for free when you buy a ticket online, this feels like something from twenty years ago.
Relatable queen
And no privacy while doing it. I feel a little sick that I’ve seen this.
This feels like an invasion of her privacy, no?? 🙁
Oh, so someone made a buck taking a photo of a royal (not on royal duties) and sold it to the daily mail to make some money. Cool story.
Whoever took that photo and then sold it should be ashamed.
What a normal lovely young lady. Not fuzzy. Love it! But I’d prefer if nobody took a picture of her without her knowledge.
This feels so uncomfortable. She’s just a girl commuting home from uni – leave her alone!
I, too, prefer sitting on the floor. 🫶
… this is creepy
It’s very off for the Daily Mail to publish photos like this.
Their stylist hates them.
Surely this is planned? She could afford first class.
There’s no reasonable expectation of privacy on a public train.
We’ve all been there.
Didn’t all get stalked doing it, though.
Shows how awful the train system is in the UK 😂
Bless her, I’m glad that she’s getting a more normal life experience at University. It’s just a shame some toerag couldn’t respect her privacy – I doubt “Lady Louise sits on floor” sells them that many ad spaces to begin with.
The Royals: They’re Just Like Us (victims of badly-privatised British rail systems)
Leave her in peace for Pete’s sake!
Bad form to be taking pictures of anyone on public transport. Whether she’s a royal or not, where’s the respect? Absolutely bizarre that it made the headlines.
