The United States has pressed Israel to take responsibility for funding and overseeing the massive removal of rubble across the Gaza Strip as part of post-war reconstruction efforts. The Times of Israel
According to the Israeli newspaper Ynet, Israel has agreed “for now” to this U.S. request, beginning with a pilot debris-clearing operation in a neighborhood of Rafah.

The headline seems… exaggerated. There has been discussion around developments of some part of Rafah by the US, Israel, and others for some Palestinians to live outside of Hamas rule.
The headline reads like they agreed to the entire clearing and rebuilding of the entire Gaza Strip, not just part of one small city.
More importantly, the entire next stage of the Peace Plan hinges on Hamas agreeing to disarm which they’ve repeatedly refused to do. So this is mostly just a nothingburger promise to the US to make them feel better, a promise which Israel knows it’ll never have to uphold since Hamas won’t disarm.
Can you perhaps not share a times of israel article talking about israels good deeds in the gazan war?
They are provably too biased to take as fact and even this one proves it, it’s like sharing a russian newspaper article for information on the latest progress in the ukraine war
This is the Trump administration trying to front to the world that they are in charge of the Gaza situation, and have it all under control, lest any other powerful regional actors try to step on the US’s toes by inserting themselves into Gaza, and challenging the US’s regional interest (Israel).
In matter of fact, the US is only “demanding” the default and most likely outcome: Israel will have full say in anything built or destroyed in Gaza, full say in what happens there east of the Yellow Line, and full say in who gets to live and work there, under their terms and jurisdiction.
Israel getting to look and feel like the US’s punk for a fleeting moment is just a small downside.
