A new wrinkle in the Royal family feud has everyone questioning everything, and it all has to do with Meghan Markle and King Charles‘s bond today.

During a Christmas party held at Charles’s London residence, Clarence House, that occurred earlier this week, eagle-eyed royal fans noticed a photo of him escorting Meghan down the aisle at her and Harry’s 2018 wedding was in the background. (Hint: It’s the black and white photo in the left corner!)

As you can see in this photo, and many others from the event, he has photos of Prince William, Kate Middleton, his late mother Queen Elizabeth, and more. But this comes as a shock because it’s a photo of just him and her, not them with Harry.
Not only is this incredibly touching (and potentially illuminating on how he feels about Meghan), but it reminds fans of one of their sweetest moments as father-daughter-in-law. On Meghan’s wedding day, Charles stepped in to walk her down the aisle in the absence of her father, becoming a symbol of family unity that the public adored.
So, what does this mean about the family feud? The feud has strained everyone, but it seems Charles still has a soft spot for his reportedly estranged daughter-in-law.
