Bennett: Israeli Couple Arrested in Turkey for Espionage Are ‘Innocent Civilians’

  1. You might as well be detained for espionage if you visit Istanbul as a tourist and take pictures in touristic places.

  2. The stupidest part is the suggestion that the Mossad needs some shitty mobile phone photos of a public building’s exterior.

The Mossad probably has a surveillance satellite that can read the sign at the building’s door and they probably have the building’s blueprints, the blood type of all employees there, and details on Erdogan’s favourite dessert.

They don’t need grainy mobile phone photos. An election is coming up in Turkey and these people are being used as pawns.

  3. Why can you not take pictures of the building? If it’s such a strict law, why are there not loads of tourists locked up? This is mad, the poor couple. Imagine going on holidays and ending up a political pawn.

  4. Just for clarification you can walk off the street right through the gates of the Dolmabahçe Palace, the building is open for tourism because it’s a tourist site and not a state run Palace for the head of state. Guarantee someone figured out that they were Israeli and reported them out of spite.

  5. Oh shit!!

I’ve just checked that place out on Google Street view.

I hope they don’t come to arrest me…. or the entire stuff of Google
