As seen in the picture i turned the heater fully off but i can still hear the noise it makes when still on and after checking 1 day later it is still hot. How can i open the valve to fix it
Unscrew the head, push the little pin back, screw the head back on
This knob is a thermostat and not suitable to turn your radiators “off”.
The minimum setting here is “Frostschutz” i.e. ~8-12°C.
The only way to completely disable your heating is probably centrally in the boiler room. If your renting however your out of luck because it is very much in the intrest of the building owner to protect the structure from frost & condensation.
Theres a little pin in the thermostate that when its to dusty wont close right and then you can switch to zero and still have a warm heater.
Use a wrench to screw it off, then rinse it in warm soapy water and try to flush it a bit to get the it as clean as possible, after its dry screw it back on, it should work now.
Dont try to use a dishwasher.
most thermostat valves are like that. unscrew the valve and put something hard in it that would push the pin harder. I put some felt in mine. it can then close the valve properly when you turn it to zero
