Suspilne, the Ukrainian national broadcaster, has recorded its biggest audience for Junior Eurovision since 2014.
The live broadcast of Junior Eurovision 2025 on Suspilne Kultura was watched 526,000 people. Combined with the replay of the live broadcast, a total of 869,000 people watched Junior Eurovision 2025 in Ukraine. The average share of the live broadcast audience was 2.12% for the audience over 18 years old in cities with a population of more than 50 thousand residents. This is a record audience figure for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Ukraine since 2014.
Oksana Skybinska, Director of the Department of Special Projects of Public Broadcasting and Head of the Ukrainian delegation to Eurovision and Junior Eurovision, stated:
“We are glad that Junior Eurovision gathers more and more Ukrainians in front of screens every year. The songs of our participants get into playlists and go viral among children and teenagers. They are filmed on TikToks and Ukrainians vote and spread information to support our representatives. Thank you to everyone who contributed with their views, votes or comments. Talented Ukrainian children really need an open platform for creative expression, and Junior Eurovision is happy to be such a platform. We are waiting for even more gifted young people next year to introduce new names to Ukraine and the world.”
Content on the official Ukrainian Eurovision YouTube channel about Junior Eurovision 2025 gathered 4.6 million views from 450 thousand unique viewers. The total number of interactions with content (likes, comments, shares) was 106,000.
During Junior Eurovision week, the Eurovision Ukraine Facebook page received 4.6 million views and 125,000 interactions across all content.
The Instagram page received 7.8 million views and 272,000 interactions. The Eurovision Ukraine TikTok page received 16 million views and 744,000 interactions. Posts on the Eurovision Ukraine Telegram channel received a total of 1.02 million views.
Anna Pohrebna, executive producer of the Department of Digital Content and Social Networks of Digital Platforms at Suspilne, commented:
“Undoubtedly, at Eurovision, as well as in the music industry in general, social networks and YouTube play a key role in promoting an artist who represents their country. It is systematic and at the same time creative work on these platforms that allows Suspilne to attract a new audience every year, create an emotional connection and maintain a lively dialogue with fans around the world.”
Sofia Neresesian represented Ukraine at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with “Motanka”. She won the public vote and finished second overall with 177 points. This was Ukraine’s best result at Junior Eurovision since 2013.

Ukraine debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 and has competed in the contest ever since. To date, Ukraine has only won the competition once. In 2012, Anastasiya Petryk won in Amsterdam with the song “Nebo”. She scored 138 points including eight sets of 12 points. Ukraine has hosted the contest twice, the first time in 2009 and the second in 2013 following their victory in Amsterdam.
