Prefaced with not an ad, just passionate about my Oreo’s and sharing a Christmas bargain.

My partner and I go feral for these every year and hate that they’re limited to Christmas and usually so expensive. Even in clearance I’ve not seen them lower than £1

Popped into Tescos to grab a packet and nearly died when they scanned through at 75p each. The trade off being your personal data as it’s locked behind club card, but when even the Lidl dupes are £2.50 I couldn’t resist

  1. Back when I was lorry driving if a pallet was damaged most of my drops would say keep it so we’d take it back to the warehouse and dish it out. I think my best haul was 16×24 packs of Tunnocks Tea Cakes. In hindsight probably not the best for someone who sits down 10+ hours a day 🤣

  2. I need to ask

Did you take them out of the bag and just naturally stacked them this way or did you purposely make sure each one was slightly askew?

  3. “the trade off is your personal data”. No offense mate but you’re posting on Reddit your love for Oreos, your data is already compromised. And let be honest, It’s not really your personally identifiable data for Tesco to know that you love Oreos, if you’ve got a club card they already have PI data

I can determine a lot about you just looking at your post history on here.

    Also. MATHS.

  4. All the brilliant biscuits we make in the UK, and you buy Oreos? Why?
Also, MATHS – because, everyone else said it.
Also, Tesco – no ‘S’ on the end.
    Lastly, most importantly. Merry Christmas.

  5. I don’t know if I love or hate you, I’d already bought a bunch of these to stretch out over next year. Now I’m torn if to buy more or just to accept I got ripped off buying them at £1.50 in Tesco a month ago.

  6. Steven has 27 oreoes and I steal 26 and 3/600ths of them. How many does steven have left?

  7. My mum when she sees me enjoy a white chocolate coated Oreo that one time

  8. I don’t care about personal data Clubcard/Nectar has on my shopping habits tbf

Nectar in particular gives me specific discounts on things I buy all the time with the app/bonus point offers.

I feel Tesco’s is more exploitable in some of the ridiculous prices they put as the original compared to the Clubcard price

  9. Calling it “math problems” in a UK sub. The fucking state of it

  10. The pedantry in these comments is on point. As a fellow Brit, seeing “math” in the title was a genuine jump scare. Enjoy your well-earned, mathematically-accurate Oreo haul.

  11. “math” 🤢🤢 can you at least use English on CasualUK ??

  12. Whilst everyone is ripping you for “math”, I think you should also be reminded that Oreo’s with that apostrophe, does not make it a plural.

The plural of Oreo is Oreos.

  13. came here to take issue with the wanky comment about clubcard data, stayed for all the people saying MATHS

  14. Horrible cookie, biscuit or whatever you call them. Most overrated brand on the plant

  15. OP literally selling his soul (clubcard) for oreos (biscuit) 😭

  16. Once, a couple of years ago, there was a clearance at the local Lidl for Oreo ice cream sandwiches. Unbelievably, they were reduced to 1p each… you can imagine… we spent a whopping £2 or £3 (!)… even the cashier noted, ‘You really love this ice cream, don’t ya?’
