Take the bus on Saturday to raise money for Malta Community Chest Fund

Bus commuters on Saturday will be directly raising money for the Malta Community Chest Fund as part of the annual Tallinja għal L-istrina campaign.

Now in its ninth edition, the campaign will see Malta Public Transport renewing its long-standing collaboration with the Office of the President.

A donation will be made to the Malta Community Chest Fund for every passenger journey taken on Saturday, including free public transport trips.

Malta Public Transport chairman Felipe Cosmen encouraged the public to take part by choosing to travel by bus on the day.

“Using the bus on December 20 is an easy, collective act that can translate into real help for families who rely on the efforts of  MCCF. We are proud to support the Office of the President and the MCCF in the best way we can,” Cosmen said.

The company has already contributed more than €336,000 to the MCCF since the initiative began in 2016.
