Give everyone a free tesla as a trade-in program 😀😀
The statistic is correct ?
Poland accounts for about 50K of those deaths. Meanwhile, politicians like Janusz Kowalski stonewall any transformation from coal to renewables. Jebać PiS.
I’m gonna be that guy: Nuclear Power Plants killed 0 people in Europe this year. And last.. and the year before that…
Does burning gas also pollute the air with micro-particle ? Or just coal/biomass.
thank you Germany? ok, somewhat joking, but Germany was seriously responsible for the diesel debacle, which has sent EU air pollution levels to new highs.
tldr: Germany had a good advantage in diesel engines, so the EU pushed heavily for diesel engines, even if they knew it’s hard (read impossible) to make diesel engines that don’t pollute less than a bus. This kept going while it was advantageous for the German industry, together with the increase in EURO standards. When the diesel engine was not able to keep up with increasing standards, Germany stopped increasing the standards EU-wide, even threatening smaller countries to stop pushing for better ones.
300,000 seems like an absurdly large number. I think I guest don’t get how air pollution can be solely responsible for killing 300k people lmao
