Also sorry that offenders are not going to say sorry or get any repercussions, but we are really sorry…
You believe us, right?
This is a meaningless attempt to save face, but anyone with half a brain can surmise that already.
What I’m waiting for is the Finns’ party leaders, Purra among them, to do the same.
Until then none of this is anything but a pitiable attempt at damage control.
Alright, now prove those aren’t empty words by actually, y’know, doing something about it.

Giving embarrassed parents going around to apologize for their teenage kid’s embarrassing behaviours.
”The people who did it aren’t really sorry and I can’t make them say it and I won’t get rid of them either, so I’m here saying the words in an attempt to minimize the damage. Also we have these values, look at them, aren’t they pretty words? We wont actually do anything meaningful to uphold them, but boy are they nice words right?”
“I’m sorry they did that”
*”Ok, what are you going to do about that?”*
“About what?”
As a Chinese citizen, I choose to disregard the inflammatory rhetoric of extreme populists. What truly moved me was the kindness shown by the Finnish people and the responsible leadership demonstrated by the Finnish government.
Our country also has many extreme populists who spread radical views online and even put them into action. Yet our leaders lack such a sense of responsibility.
This shows we still have much to learn from the Finnish people.
PM Orpo: “We have zero tolerance for racism in the coalition government from now on (yeah, guess what happened)”
That party: “No we don’t?”
Dont really know why. The Moroccan prime minister didn’t apologize when one of their citizens slayed Finns in Turku terror strike 2017.
Like this kind of stunt works nowadays
Orpo has 0 credibility. He says empty words and then continue enabling idiotic behavior that is damaging Finland in so many ways. And on top of that he is implementing policies, that have the aim of destroying nordic welfare state and take it closer to the twisted version of capitalism where market doesn’t work and oligarchs directly disproportionally control the country and the policies.
This is very scary when at the same time we have war-hungry Putin in the east and alt-right movement in the west attacking western civilization and values such as equality and democracy — and not in any sort of subtle, indirect way but directly making it their official agenda.
Just collapse the government already! It would have been the smartest thing for Kok to do in lue of all this even from a political stand point. Him standing up in front of the world apologizing for someones else’s actions then continue to work with them shows how much of a spineless bitch he really is. Especially when the leader of the party responsible is defending the actions. This shows how bad of a leader Orpo really is.
PS politicians on the whole are accustomed to rage baiting and profiting from it. This time its backfired and gone viral in a way they can’t control. Interesting to see major international news outlets pick up on the story. PS really aren’t good for Finland.Â
No, why should you apologize when you didn’t pull your eyes?
You should be questioning why the other MPs who should be apologizing haven’t apologized yet.
What should be done is making an example of those Finns Party members.
Now that the PM is apologizing for damage control instead.
He doesn’t need to apologize to us. He needs to run to Asia his head bowing, apologize to them and fire the offending politicians, blacklisting them forever.
A bunch of racists mismanaging the economy. Who could have possibly predicted this?

Same coalition, about two years earlier:
