  1. Paywalled article so maybe I’m missing some context. What kind of cohesion is this going to achieve?

  2. No it doesn’t.

Unless Rakib Ehsan is offering to pay for it? No, thought not.

  3. Really, spending money on census is more important than using the money to help struggling families?

  4. The Census doesn’t validate that whatever is submitted regarding occupants is correct – an eighteen bed slum near London could claim to have one person and it would record a count of “one”

  5. Illegals aren’t going to fill out a census are they?

What we need are exit checks for immigration. Crazy that the UK doesn’t do that.

  6. What tf is this shit . There’s no “ explosion “

In the year ending June 2025, the UK’s net long-term migration (immigration minus emigration) was estimated at 204,000 people — a significant drop (~69% lower) compared with the previous year, but still positive, meaning more people entered than left.

Immigration (people moving to the UK): around 898,000 in the year to June 2025.

Emigration (people leaving the UK): about 693,000 in the same period.

We were all immigrants to this country at some point and there is no crisis .

Get your heads out of GB news and wake up. Life is short , this isn’t worth the energy or stress.

  7. I wouldn’t want tax to go up for anyone, but the occupants of 55 Tufton Street are an exception.

  8. Or how about we start taxing billionaires and their companies more? There’s 55 billionaires in the uk alone in the whole world there’s 3028 billionaires. IMO billionaires shouldn’t exist if you’ve amassed that much money then you’re not paying enough in taxes.

  9. Explosion?

Isn’t immigration down compared to last year though?

  10. Nothing says Christmastime like an emergency census to root out the undesirables.

Wasn’t expecting the Telegraph to come out as pro-Herod
