Kochany Heńku i Doro, otrzymałem dzisiaj od Was odkrytkę (rus. pocztówkę) z której wynika żeście przestali koczować a osiedliliście się w kołchozie. Przedostatni list wasz który ja dostałem była kartka z stacji (rus) Kzył-Ołga napiszcie czy znajdujecie się w tej (rus) obłasti. Z twojego listu wnioskuję, że ty na pewno wcześniej wysyłał list z (rus) kołchozu gdyż piszesz „jak ci już pisałem u nas nic się nie zmieniło” no ja tego listu nie otrzymałem i nie wiem co pisałeś. O tym że żydów nie biorą obecnie do wojska polskiego ja także słyszałem, zobaczymy co będzie dalej. Napisz mi list jak wam się powodzi, dokładnie opisz jaki klimat itd. U mnie nowości wielkich nie ma, wszystko po staremu. Uczę się na kursach szoferów. Przypuszczam na 1 maja dostanę prawo jazdy. Do armii chyba nie wezmą mnie chyba do tego czasu gdyż mam „broń” do 1 maja. Kończę list. Ukłony
Dear Henku and Doro, today I have received a postcard, which says you have settled in a kolkhoz. The last letter I got from you was from station Kzył-Ołga, tell me if you are in that oblast. From your letter I deduct, that you have already sent me a letter from the kolkhoz since you wrote “as I already wrote to you, nothing changed for us”. I didn’t receive this letter and I do not know what you wrote. Like you, I have also heard that they are currently not accepting jews to the army, we’ll see what happens later. Send me a letter saying how you’re doing, describe the climate etc. Nothing changed for me, everything is as always. I’m taking chauffeur courses. I think I will get a driving license on may 1st. I don’t think they’ll take me to the army untill then since I have a “broń” (not sure what this is supposed to mean) untill may 1st. Goodbye
