A friend of mine made a website that pulls the current Dublin Airport Security wait times since it was difficult to find on their own website. Useful for any upcoming holidays!

  1. Good idea with the graphs, obvious suggestion would be an average wait time graph rather than just a linear history. Also being able to plug in your departure time and seeing what the average is for that time

  2. They stopped publishing the security wait times in the app because for the last few months the times fell outside expected parameters

  3. Worth remembering that you can move between terminals after security. So if your terminal has longer wait times, you can pass through security at the other terminal.

  4. Always wondered how they actually physically calculate this, I’m assuming it starts when you scan your boarding pass but then how does it tell when a person is through, is there someone there tracking a person on a camera?

  5. Are long waits still a big issue? I remember seeing it in the news a month or so ago, but completely forgot about it. I’ll be home next week and I just want to make sure I don’t miss my flight back out…

  6. Go to Dublin airport website, click the chat icon and type security wait times, you get a bit response with the current wait times in each terminal.

And you have the benefit of being on the Dublin airport site and can find other info if required.

  7. Is there anywhere that shows the wait times at passport control for people who have just landed? Picking up people from the airport is a crapshoot. Some days there’s no wait, while other days it’s a pain in the hoop – like last week when I was waiting for 70 minutes after they landed.
