Tanduay Distillers Inc., the liquor arm of LT Group Inc., is expanding its European presence through a distribution partnership with Danish boutique distributor Bastard Spirits.
Under the agreement, Bastard Spirits will distribute Tanduay products across Denmark by leveraging its network of specialty wine and spirits shops, online retailers and on-trade channels.

The partnership supports the international expansion strategy of the Philippine-based distiller as it targets markets where consumer interest in rum is increasing.
The company noted that rum is gaining traction in Denmark amid a slowdown in gin consumption, with younger consumers and women showing a growing openness to the category.
Bastard Spirits, which was established in 2021, operates in the highly regulated Nordic alcohol market and focuses on premium spirits.
Bastard Spirits international sales manager Jesper Kjaer said Tanduay stood out for its portfolio, pricing and market support, noting that the brand offers products not currently available in the Danish market.
He expects the Tanduay 10-Year-Old Rum to appeal to a broad consumer base, while the Tanduay Overproof is likely to attract more experienced rum drinkers.
