Is it normal for them to get so close? Hope he's alright….so many of them in London wonder if they have rabies?

  1. Acting like a cat that wants to be pet, and a treat. Which makes sense, used to joke that foxes were dog hardware running cat software.

  2. I slept with the door open one night and woke up with one asleep on top of me. The buggers are getting brave!

  3. I wouldn’t make him too comfortable as some people are very unkind.

  4. Foxes look majestic but are actually disgusting feral animals. Enjoy from a distance and don’t get too close because they cary all sorts of diseases and parasites.

  5. That is a sleek looking fox.

I only have those dirty grey ones by me 🙁

  6. Foxes really are Cat software running on Dog hardware.

No need to worry about rabies it doesn’t exist in the UK and if they had it they would be attacking you like the zombies in 28 days later, so you’re safe.

Feel free to help out Mr Bob with some leftover food for Christmas, it’s cold outside so they’ll appreciate some calories, no chocolates though!

I wish more Londoners appreciated our urban foxes a lot more than we do, it always brightens my day when I see one.

  7. 1. Don’t try to pet. May still bite and also full of disease.

    2. They working hard on self domestication.

  8. Have one in Belsize that tried to get cozy in the basket of my son‘s buggy once. Had to discourage it with some gentle shooing away.

  9. I had one that was real friendly and used to follow me about the cemetery when I was walking. A lady asked me what type of dog she was 😂

  10. Being flippany about rabies is not a great survival strategy. If you ever develip symptoms it’ll be too late to save your life.

Don’t mess around with wild animals. You might think it’s cute and you know what you’re doing. But by encouraging it to come close you are endangering others, now and in the future.
