Went on a trip to Scotland in September of 2024. This was the first time that I’ve ever felt “I should move here”. I’m from the PNW so the weather and vibes were very similar.

How is the pub/bar culture there? Is it very prominent?

Looks Like You only been to Edinburgh
perfectly cooked sausage
Why do restaurants only serve u a thimble of fucking beans

Sorry OP, your title made me think of this gif 😂 but these are great photos, I’m glad you got some clear skies during your stay! 🤩
We moved to Scotland after 6 years in Seattle. The weather is near identical but you don’t get the 2 months of perfect weather (July 5-Sept 5) like the PNW. It’s rainy year round. The Highlands look so much like the mountains in WA and OR- it was surprising how similar it was for me.
I usually take a drop of water to unlock the flavours.
But if you want it neat, each to their own.
Fuck I can’t wait to move back. Absolutely stunning. But also I’d kill for a proper piece of bacon right now.
So…when can we expect you?
I feel like the PNW is another Scotland, just larger. So many photos of it I’ve seen over the years and it’s number one of my American locations to visit because it always felt like home in the photos and videos.
Hello fellow PNW! Already seen couple people wearing Seahawks jumper and a UW(!) hoodie.
*Edinburgh. Try widening your horizons next time.
Scotland is neat
