In the Starosaltivska community of the Chuhuiv district, an incident was recorded where a Russian drone on a fiber-optic line attacked a civilian vehicle. As a result of the incident, two people sustained burns and an acute stress reaction.

According to police officer Oleksiy Kharkivskyi, the strike occurred near noon on December 19, when the drone hit a car near a settlement.

“There were two people in the car; they sustained mild burns and an acute stress reaction. They immediately jumped out of the car after the impact and hid in the forest for a while. They called the police themselves. They refused hospitalization. They are locals.”

The settlement is located about 20 kilometers from the demarcation line and does not fall within the area of active hostilities, the police officer noted.

The Kharkiv region prosecutor’s office reported that on December 19 a Russian FPV drone struck a vehicle in the village of Metalivka, Chuhuiv district. According to the agency, a 43-year-old man sustained burns.

Following the incident, law enforcement began an investigation into the use of unmanned aerial devices, with the relevant materials subsequently submitted to the authorities.
