  1. Cost of living crisis. Someone is doing what needs to be done. Hope their children eat well.

  2. Cool, I hunt my own meat too. It’s very satisfying being able to go out and catch your own food.

  3. Their ‘goose’ is, in this case, ‘cooked’. Literally.

  4. I wonder if people would be similarly keen to excuse this if the folk in question were stealing cats & dogs? 🤔

  5. Does this mean I can go a day without seeing Cameron Winter on reddit now?

  6. Hidden in the article is the point that there’s no actual proof these geese were stolen, it’s just a guess from someone who says he knows the guy who owns them. They do, being the mail, make sure to mention some locals are accusing migrants, but surprisingly also mention there’s zero evidence for that.

  7. Should be chasing these people down, these are wild geese.

  8. Here we go again with the dissemination of daily mail bullshit. This isn’t news, it’s lies dressed up as news to anger the morons. Is OP racist, one of those morons, or just spreading hatred? Maybe all three. Either way they are Britain hating traitors, lying about this country.

  9. They imigrents hav eten all th swans – now thay ar after ur gese! /s

  10. To be fair, roast goose is absolutely delicious

    Had it last christmas.

  11. I thought we had a bird flu problem, maybe they died somewhere, or were sick, and got gobbled up by an actual predator, because they were too slow to get away. Rather than being cooked for Christmas dinner.

I do like goose though. I buy mine from the shop.

  12. I’m not a Reformer, I’m as liberal as they come. But I’ve seen this happen. If you want to know, I’ll tell

  13. I would think it would be difficult to catch a goose as they can just fly off. If you do manage to catch one you’ve then got to kill it, gut it and pluck the feathers.

It would be a lot easier to just pop to Aldi and buy a chicken for a fiver.
