Germany: Nazi death camp secretary caught after fleeing trial

  1. I am glad we don’t have propaganda outlets like RT that get public money to present one sided stories of whatever seems like a good stance to take.

  2. > Heubner also criticized the fact that the woman had been able to flee at all. “[Authorities] should have reckoned with an escape and put the care home under guard and brought the accused to the trial,” he said, adding that the situation was not worthy of Germany.

I don’t know. Would you really expect a 96-year-old to escape from a care facility for the elderly? Is she even mentally fit? Would she ever have gotten far away? What options would she have to hide? I mean she probably wasn’t in that facility for no reason.

  3. Is it really worth spending the resources on people nearing 100 years of age, rather than spending the resources to lower the current crime rate?

  4. >Her trial, if it takes place, might well be the last trial for Nazi crimes in Germany. It is due to take place in a juvenile court, as the woman was aged just 18 and 19 at the time of the alleged crimes.

Like may I imagine, she was probably coerced by the promise of a better life. Such a dark but also sad story.

  5. This is dumb.

Y’all are obviously not German bc it shows that you didn’t study nazi Germany at all.

This woman was EIGHT when Hitler become chancellor. She was 18-19 when she worked as a SECRETARY for this KZ.

Do you really expect that a person who grows up in a certain regime as a literal child is able to go against that regime as a teenager, without any kind of support??? She didn’t even kill anyone. I completely agree that literal nazi murderers have to be put on trial and that even if it’s just symbolic bc most of the time they just don’t put them into jail bc they’re too old.

But this??? If you didn’t kill anyone back then and you were less than 12 years old when Hitler became chancellor i don’t see how this makes sense.

  6. she’s 96 now… so she basicly got away with it anyways, for whatever she could have been held accountable for…. bear in mind she grew up in 3rd Reich and I doubt that many of the entitled kids today would have behaved much different or any better!
