Immigration arrests after 12 found in lorry in Essex

Police have arrested 12 men on suspicion of immigration offences after reports of people in the back of a lorry.

Officers were called to Edinburgh Way, Harlow at about 22:15 GMT on Friday where they found 11 men and a teenage boy in the vehicle.

Essex Police said: “The men, and the driver of the lorry, were all arrested and our enquiries are ongoing.”

All the men were arrested on suspicion of immigration offences and taken into custody.
