  1. Yup it’s a thing in France, the more American your name sounds, the more likely you are an idiot…

  2. “Bede, Æthelstan”, I’ve never seen those names before. Are you making up your own “victory” again ?

  3. I think it’s a global phenomenon though, you just need to figure out which sitcom or movie with a character named Kevin was popular with the French trailer trash.

  4. Also the population density map of France. Correlation does not imply causation.

  5. “English” names are white trash names in France .

  6. TIL kevinism is a thing in France as well.

I thought certain yank names as a  ‘socioeconomic’ indicator was only a thing over here

  7. Two polar opposite of shitty names in France: the Kevin’s versus the Ryan’s. Stupid white dudes versus stupid suburbs dudes.

  8. Isn’t that just a map of where people live in France? Most big cities are in the North and one the southern coast, while the rest is rural areas?

  9. Isn’t Kevin an Irish name?

Pierre going back to his Celtic roots

  10. Kevin is THE name in France that gets mocked because it’s falsely American. And now Timéo is the one being mocked for being falsely Italian

  11. If he’d said English or British that would have been fine, but he had to get all fancy with the synonyms and now he’s just incorrect.

Could always make it less English by spelling it the Irish way, Caoimhín. Might be more acceptable to the French, although they’d have some trouble pronouncing it.

  12. I just want to know why Pierres are rarely called Pierre anymore. Or Maurice. Great names those 🥺

  13. far right voters being uneducated, surprised_pikachu.jpg

  14. The German parliament is currently free of Kevin MPs but in the previous period there were two Kevins

  15. Does that count same for us when a load of your kids are called Conor, Liam, Sean, and Declan?
