This isn’t socialism this is just common sense

  2. Tying our healthcare to our employment is so dumb. 

    It’s a vestige of wage controls during WW2. 

    But single payer isn’t quite the same as  “socialism”. 

    Or if it is, we already have “socialism”. 40% of Americans are already on government health insurance.  Either because they are old or because they are poor. 

  3. We could have got filthy rich from fossil fuels too but we had Thatcher.

    Communism: nobody can be rich

    Socialism: everybody can be rich, nobody should be poor

  10. The thing is, this is socialism. Socialism has in fact very good things like making sure people can stay alive while searching for a new job.

    Is this how other people see us?

  12. It seems social democracies are highly compatible with fossile fuels.
