But, if an area has no lakes, it’s screwed. As the temperatures rise, it won’t even matter.
The PNW got a lot of early snow. Unfortunately, it all melted at once and flooded everything. It seems like this is the new normal, record snowfall followed by “unseasonably” high temperatures and an atmospheric river. More snow is only good if it stays cold.
