On December 21, the international futsal tournament Unibank Cup kicked off in Yerevan, featuring the national teams of Armenia, Moldova, Georgia, and Kyrgyzstan.

In the opening match of the tournament, the Armenia national futsal team defeated Moldova 2–1. In the first half, the Armenian team completely dominated the game and forced the opponents into two mistakes, with both of Armenia’s goals coming from own goals by the Moldovan side. The second half was more evenly contested, and Moldova managed to score one goal.

The match was held behind closed doors without a live broadcast.

On December 22, Armenia will face Kyrgyzstan, with the match starting at 20:00 Yerevan time. Earlier, at 16:00, Moldova will play against Georgia.

It should be noted that this tournament serves as preparation for Armenia ahead of the UEFA Futsal Euro 2026, which will take place from January 21 to February 7 in Latvia, Lithuania, and Slovenia.
