Robin update; he’s getting very fat and very bold. I have named him noodle and also got him a house in case he needed one.

  1. There’s an old wives tale that robins are relatives that have passed away that have come to check on you.

I had a ginger-haired relative that was very into gardening so I greet every Robin as if it were him popping by.

  2. You missed an opportunity to call him “fat orange dumpling” here…

  3. Is noodle definitely going to fit through the door?

  4. I see the robin distribution is still working too.

When I was much, much younger I think around 8 or so, up until when I left my parents. Every winter without fail, we had a robin visit us over winter. We added houses in the garden too. I’m back to being at my parents every year for the holidays with son, a robin visits us every winter again!

  5. Does Noodle shout at you when you’re putting out the bird feed?

There’s one that does it to my mum when she is feeding them. Just sits on the raised flowerbed and shouts until she fills up all the feeders!

  6. Noodle is one lucky little bean. Extra chubby and adorable. You’re out here bringing joy in a gloomy world and I love that 💕
Tried to find a festive robin joke for you but absolutely failed I’m sorry BUT you can have my favourite Christmas cracker joke.

How do you make a tissue dance?
Put a little boogie in it (must be said whilst doing a little dance)

  7. “Also got him a house in case he needed one”

    Can you be my dad?

  8. I love that you bought him a house. He looks so proud standing on it!

  9. Robins floof their feathers up when it’s cold – he’s not fat, he’s chilly.

  10. You may have been asked this before but what do you feed him. We have a robin that is like to start feeding.

  11. When I worked for Amazon, we had a family of robins that lived in the warehouse. It was fucking awesome. I’d leave seeds out for them.

We should have called pest control but my team decided not to because we loved them. The regional manager didn’t need to know.

Little robin would come and sit on my screen. Every morning when I got in I’d whistle and they’d whistle back. I’d open the dock doors and they’d spend the day going in and out getting food. The doors shut between 11pm-3am, they were fine with it.

I even made an ID badge and put it on the staff board.

    Good times.

  12. can I please send this pic to my Ma?

Obviously, will credit the op! lovely pic

  13. He might just be fluffing up to capture more warm air in his feathers.

  14. They are lovely Robins. So tame. That’s a great picture!!
