    I’d be more alarmed in the rise of the shadow fleet exploding, given that Ukraine has now attacked several civilian vessels far outside the black sea. The one in the Mediterranean being the most brazenly indifferent to its sponsors well-being.

    This is the sort of thing pro-Russians have been warning about for years – that a failing Ukraine is dangerous not only to Russia, but to the very people who paid for the weapons. From the start it’s been clear Zelensky is quite happy to bring pain and death to anyone else’s territory including allies as long as it somehow helps him in Ukraine. If this was to evolve into a world war he’d be elated.

  2. I get the feeling that this ‘shadow fleet’ talk is brought to you by the same fine people who gave us WMDs in Iraq and the Nayirah testimony. Just more manufactured consent BS dreamed up by the government and laundered to the public by the media.

  3. Sanctions imposed by Western countries who also supported Genocide in Palestine, going so far as sending weapons to Israel. I don’t feel like these sanctions hold sway with anybody outside of the US and Europe by all means (China, India, Brazil, etc dgaf). It’s just Western hypocrisy acting over its own economic and political interests.
    Let’s see how strangling the energy supply of these countries over that will play out.

  4. Western sanctions are not UN sanctions so this was bound to happen. I think once boarding n drone strikes in the name of muh law becomes the new normal don’t be surprised when the other side use the same tactics.

    I was hoping Belgium would have gone ahead with the ludicrous idea of using Russian frozen assets for the war efforts in Ukraine.

  5. AFAIU, all this news about the “shadow fleet” is intended to legitimize the idea that the “shadow fleet” is a bad thing. Even though these are perfectly ordinary and legally “transparent” ships.
