Attorney Trump fears most EXPOSES TRUMP in Epstein files

This is Democracy Watch. Mark, we have some breaking news here to kind of add add fuel to the fire that is already this disastrous Epstein file release. It looks like the DOJ has rescended, pulled back, deleted 16 files off their website that had been there yesterday. And again, I want to add that this was already in on top of the fact that the DOJ had not released all of the files in compliance with the law. So what are the legal implications here of the fact that A we didn’t get the full breadth of files and B even some of the files that were released were then taken back presumably to protect Donald Trump. >> Okay, so let’s talk about all the ways in which the Trump Department of Justice is violating federal law. And that’s what they’re doing everyone. They are violating federal law. A law that Congress passed signed by Donald Trump that said number one the records have to be released within 30 days. All of them. Did we get all of the records on Friday? No. So that was violation of law number one. Number two, it said that it has to include all unclassified records, documents, communications, and investigative materials. Have you seen any investigative materials? Have you seen any memos between the FBI and prosecutors or between FBI agents and each other? No. That would be violation number two. Number three, uh it can only redact names under limited circumstances. For example, to protect victims. We saw, Brian, pages, pages, dozens of pages upon dozens of pages in a row of redactions. Not just names of victims, but all kinds of things. And you whose name we didn’t see? We didn’t see Donald Trump’s. That’s another violation. Also, the statute said that the records that any red actions have to be accompanied, quote, by a written justification. Now, I know they’re not big on like writing over there in the Department of Justice, but I didn’t see any written explanation of each of these redactions. And then the most important one is that no record could be withheld, delayed or redacted on the base of embarrassment, reputational harm or political sensitivity, including to any government official, public figure or foreign dignitary. This Brian has turned into a total sham. This whole thing has been an effort to protect Donald Trump. They obviously didn’t produce records and they redacted name uh his name from records are on. How do we know that? Because we have other sources of these records. We have gotten records from uh the h the house uh uh committee itself that it got from the estate that has Donald Trump’s name. And so we know those haven’t been produced. But then the cherry on top, the final violation of this law that Congress just passed that the president signed that Republicans piously lined up and said they wanted the truth to come out on the cherry on top is that the Trump Justice Department has apparently now unpublished has pulled back from the public. uh according to the Associated Press 16 files and at least some of them it’s pretty clear were pulled back because somehow the the you know the North Korean sensors that they had reviewing these records in the Department of Justice missed some photos of Donald Trump. >> So I I have to ask because there was one one thing in particular that that really kind of insensed me and that was this idea that in the law itself it says that the only people that have to have their identities protected are victims or minors. There was it was written expressly that that items could not be redacted simply because they would cause embarrassment to for example political figures. And then when the DOJ spoke with Fox News, they said that items were redacted expressly because people were either politically uh engaged or or government officials. And so this is in direct violation of of the letter of the law. How could they not only refuse to abide by the full law which stated that all of the files had to be released but then completely twist upside down what the law actually says and basically where it says you can’t do something they expressly said that they will. >> Yeah. They’re just breaking the law. I mean I just listed five ways in which the Trump Department of Justice is breaking the law. So you’ve picked one of those five and it’s probably the most serious of those five. And let’s be clear, what Fox uh News reported or Fox News digital uh reported was that the redactions were applied to quote politically exposed individuals and government officials. >> What the is a politically exposed individual? I mean, someone who has been exposed because they, for example, were close to Jeffrey Epstein, >> right? Which which is the whole point of the release of the Epstein files. >> Correct. It’s the whole point that the files are being released. And so they are not just twisting it. They’re not just like turning on its head. They are breaking it. They are knowingly and willfully violating a federal law that was passed specifically for this purpose just 30 some odd days ago by an overwhelmingly bipartisan uh vote in which all the Republicans in Congress lined up and said, “Oh, look at us. We stand for the release of the full Epstein files. Donald Trump signed that and now they’re breaking it.” And so here are the two questions, Brian, that everybody out there needs to be paying attention to. Number one, will there be any accountability within the government? And of course, the answer to that is no because Pam Bondi is a sickopan for Donald Trump and Pam Bondi’s Department of Justice is not going to look at itself. You know, no one’s going to look at whether the White House played a role here. So, that brings us to the second thing, which is where the hell is the corporate legacy media? You know, these people who who say that the what what makes them better enough said what they say makes them better than the rest of us. The thing that they say they can do that nobody else can do is deep investigative reporting about public corruption by the highest echelons in government and coverups. Right? The Washington Post, right? Democracy dies in darkness. These are the Woodward and Bernstein, you know, legacy uh, you know, uh, journalists who are feriting out all of the cover-ups in the highest echelons of government. Where the hell are they? Where are they? We’re we’re we’re already, you know, more than 24 hours into this uh coming on on on two days into this where they didn’t release all the files and where it was plain from the moment the first file was rem released that there were redactions that violated that. Now look, credit to the Associated Press and you know, my my team at Democracy Docket published uh the fact that that that these records have been pulled back. So kudos to the Associated Press that figured out I was 16 of them. But you know, where where is the rest? Where is the outrage? Why is this not leading the news on every major broadcast and and the front page of every newspaper? >> I want to use this opportunity, by the way, to highlight the fact that you have been covering this even in the absence of legacy media doing its job. So, highly recommend for anybody who’s watching right now, if you want to stay uptodate on what’s happening, please subscribe to Democracy Docket. That’s the news outlet Mark founded to focus on everything voting and elections and what’s happening right now. So, I’m going to put that link right here on the screen and also in the post description of this video. If you believe that Mark and his team’s voices should be elevated, this is the best way to do it. Mark, it’s worth asking here in terms of a remedy because, you know, we recognize, we understand that the Trump administration and the DOJ are going to violate the law every chance they get. And so, in terms of seeking some remedy here, how do you achieve the full release of the Epstein files? How do you get some accountability when the people who have all of the ability to enforce the laws are the ones who are themselves violating it? >> Right? So, this is of course the great dilemma that we face right now, which is that you have a White House that is corrupt, that is controlling a Department of Justice that are just their puppets. Yeah. And so, we can’t look there. You know, I skipped over and it it shows you how how just awful and terrible Mike Johnson and the House Republicans are and John Thoon and the Senate Republicans are that I didn’t even mention the possibility that they might grow a spine, >> right? Because they because they just won’t. It’s it’s that clear, >> right? Because like the easiest thing would be for the House and the Senate leadership to sue the Trump administration, say, “Hey, we’re Congress. We’re entitled to these records or issue subpoenas and hold people in contempt, you know, tell Pam Bondi she’s to appear in the House or in the Senate uh for a deposition next week, you know, before Christmas.” Like, you could imagine that that happening, but that isn’t going to happen, right? That so that’s off the table. DOJ is not going to do it. So, it’s ultimately up to us, right? It’s up to you and me and other pro-democracy independent news outlets. It’s up to those in the legacy media that have the spine in the backbone backbone like the Associated Press to call this out. And ultimately, it’s up to the viewers like people like you who are watching this video to to to use this to catalyze a pro-democracy movement for 2026. You know, we’re on the eve of an election year, and the way in which this will change is through the ballot box. And yes, there are going to be a lot of obstacles. There’s going to be a lot of misinformation. There’s going to be a lot of efforts by Republicans to suppress the vote. Uh probably uh engage in uh uh election subversion, but ultimately, we need you to be out there telling people about what is going on because the Legacy Media is not doing its job. We need you to support people like Brian Tyler Conn by by subscribing to this channel and hitting the bell to make sure you are kept informed when when he and I post new videos and and others post and he posts other new videos on his on his channel. And it’s up to you to make sure you are registered to vote, your friends and families are registered to vote and that everybody keep their eye on the ball this uh you know next November. >> And I’ll I’ll just note for those who are not yet subscribed to this channel, I’m going to put a link right here on the screen so you can go ahead and subscribe. Mark, I have to ask kind of a political question here. Doesn’t the Trump administration recognize that that by virtue of prolonging this cover up, all they’re doing is is increasing the pain for themselves? Like, we can all see what’s happening. We can all see when they release, you know, a fraction of the Epstein files already bad enough, but then the files that they do release heavily redacted and just page after page, there were grand jury transcripts where the whole thing, 100% of them were redacted. Don’t they recognize that they’re just adding to this narrative that they are already participating in a coverup? >> Yes, they are. And so you have to ask why. >> Right? >> So there are, I think, two reasons, both of which are true. The first is they have decided that this is an instance where the cover up is not worse than the crime. Right? Everyone always says that the cover up is always worse than crime. No, no, that’s actually not true. Like sometimes the crime’s really bad and so the cover up is actually better than acknowledging what’s underneath. As crappy as the cover up looks, like you’re actually better off. So you should judge >> and you know you should consider why they are going to all this effort as you either decide to give them the benefit of the doubt or not give them the benefit of the doubt. So that that’s number one. And then the second is they think they can get away with it because they have a compliant media. Like, you know, if this was the days of Watergate, you know, they wouldn’t think they could get away with it because the only questions the legacy media would ask them every day over and over again were about the Epstein files. They wouldn’t let them move on. They wouldn’t cover a address from the White House like like all these outlets just did. By the way, Brian, you know, I don’t know that you and I have have had a chance to talk about this very much, but you know, when Barack Obama wanted to give an address uh in 2009 uh press conference uh in prime time, Fox News said no. In 2014, when he wanted to do a prime time address, all the networks said no. And Donald Trump wants to give this thing like he’s, you know, on some kind of whatever, you know, stimulant and he’s rushing through everything and he’s yelling and none, it’s like none of it makes any sense that they cover. But the White House knows that that media, the media that put that that that that crap on prime time is not gonna hold them accountable here. >> Right. I I think that that’s perfectly put and again it underscores the need for fearless independent journalism and that’s exactly what you’ll get with Democracy. So, one more time, I’m going to put the link to Democracy Docket right here on the screen and also in the post description of this video. if you recognize the issues that we’re contending with in this media ecosystem, which if it’s not owned by some Trump acolyte, uh they’re perfectly content to be compliant uh alongside the media outlets that are owned by Trump acolytes. So, um this is, you know, as big a signal as you can possibly get that we need to support independent media that’s actually going to hold uh truth to power here. And that’s exactly what you’ll get with Democracy Docket. So, I’m going to put that link right here on the screen and also in the post description. And of course, if you want to subscribe to this channel, that link is on the screen as well. I’m Brian Taylor Cohen. >> I’m Mark Elias. >> This is Democracy Watch.

  2. Wow imagine that, this and all the bullshit they just keep spewing. They are all WORTHLESS!! Get this CULT out of our White House yesterday…. wtf is wrong with you people, wake the fuck up!!!

  3. Marc Elias finally broke out the bottle of crazy pills for the holidays– easy guy, pace yourself

  4. Congress are still sleeping, but it's time for them to wake up and hold Trump and the rest of his gangster accountable Especially Trump.

  5. He was Epstein’s off sider WTF are you 🇺🇸 people thinking seriously the Trumpet would be all over those blacked out pictures and names

  6. I noticed how they redacted trumps name in the files and all those ppl associated with him, but they left Clinton’s name in them all because Trump utterly despises and hats Bill and Hillary Clinton,no doubt they’ve left Prince Andrew’s name untouched because Trump has a problem with the UK 🇬🇧 because he’s cancelled some deals between the two countries so he’ll make sure Prince Andrew’s name will remain but Trump doesn’t realise King Charles as already taken steps against his own brother and that he’s now a royal outcast, the King as also barred him from carrying out Royal engagements on his behalf, and the king as also distanced himself from Andrew and so as the new Prince of Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Prince William, and the British ppl went mad of Prince Andrew when it was revealed about his friendship with Epstein that’s the difference between the British ppl and media & press and the American media & mainstream press, we reported on it all about Andrew and none of the media or press received any threats from the royal family warning ‼️ not to publish whereas Trump as silenced the American 🇺🇸 mainstream media and press,

  7. I think the concern for the DOJ is not Trump. If it was, the democrats would have used it during Biden’s administration or during the campaign trail â long time ago. I think the concern is foreign leaders involved or links to foreign agencies that would put ties, national securities and foreign relations at risk.
