In the early hours of December 22, Russian forces attacked Odesa and the Odesa region with attack drones, striking critical infrastructure targets. The incident is being investigated as a war crime, the press service of the Odesa regional prosecutor’s office said.
According to the prosecutor’s office, a 30-year-old man was injured in Odesa. The victim was hospitalized to a medical facility.
Additionally, in the region energy facilities and warehouses with fertilizers and agricultural equipment were damaged, said Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa regional military administration.
The attack on the Odesa region is being investigated under part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – the commission of war crimes.
Prosecutors, working together with police and SBU officers, are on the scene.
The region continues to investigate the circumstances of the incident and assess the damage; law enforcement agencies are coordinating actions to ensure the safety of the population and the stability of infrastructure.
