So, you hypocrites, ok for others to do this but not H&M. Your irrational hatred formed on lies is low.
So says the proven to lie daily fail gossip rag. It’s the British equivalent of the National Enquirer.
It’s funny how certain people pretend that Harry and Meghan are the first ones to do this. Celebrities royals, and politicians giving away personal items or auctioning dinners with them for charity are not new ideas.
I work in nonprofit fundraising and this sort of thing is super common. Outside of my experience, my husband works for a major tech corporation and they auction off lunches with c suite and executive staff for the corp foundation often. This is only a story because most people don’t have context. If you are ultra wealthy or your job puts you in spaces geared to raising money from the ultra wealthy, this isn’t odd at all.

Imagine the ego involved with thinking people would be willing to pay $100,000 simply to dine with you! Yikes, lol!
“For charity”

The charity finances dropped: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15401775/Meghan-Prince-Harry-Archewell-Foundation-expenses-revenue-plummeted.html
Seems like charity staff are being let go and they were told the charity is “closing down”
(Sources of course)
The plate thing is a non-story. As someone who donates to charities I always look at the expenditure to see whether the charity is admin cost heavy compared to money actually used for charitable projects.
Is the foundation an actually a registered charity? If so I struggle to understand how their expenses can be so astronomically high compared to their donations to projects. Not familiar with US based charities so I assume I may be misunderstanding this.

Good for them!
As dumb as it seems, rich people pay for stuff like this all the time and if they’re donating it to charity it’s good I guess. But do they even have any clout amongst the kinds of people who have $100,000 to drop on a dinner?
It seems like the only people who are really fans of them are middle agedish working class women who are into pop culture but are left leaning. Or people who’s only awareness of the royal family is “Diana good Camilla bad”, not demographics that usually have a tonne of disposable income to drop on luxury charity dinners…
I wouldn’t pay $10 even if they are picking up the tab!!
This is a very common fundraising gimmick.
King Charles has done this for his charity as well. It’s very common.
Okay but whats the menu? Like if i pay 100k for something i sure as hell wanna pick the food
I mean, I question the sanity of anyone who would pay for this, but…hopefully some charity somewhere benefits from that insanity 🤷🏻‍♀️
That’s kind of gosh as my mom would say but would I pay that to say hang out with another biracial person definitely I have some disposable income and I hope it’s going to charity to change peoples lives
Im more team Megan than him he’s kind of fake to me maybe it’s his personality but we Americans can see through BS
Who in their right mind would do this…I’m confused

People do charity auctions all the time. Who cares? It’s not like the other royals selling access to line their own pockets.
Someone they know will buy it, it’s a great way to have dinner with friends as a tax write off.
I’ve heard of this but normally
A) at a gala dinner
B) through omaze or whatever
Never heard of something where it’s just 2/3 people doing independently.
I assume it would be Harry/Meghan the donor and their PR to ensure the conversation stays “safe”
