Farage is the archetypal of flannel con artists. He talks a good speech. Has an engaging personality and the ability to out debate others, BUT produces fk all, does nothing practical or of value to others and everything he does is only ever about him, his power, his profile, and ultimately his money.

I mean Farage was taking Russian money for years and literally worked on the Russian propaganda channel R1 which has been banned now in the UK after losing its license to broadcast here.
He also loves Trump, another Russian Asset and coddles up to Andrew Tate as well, so my motto is judge who you associate with. Some here are starting to be like the MAGA population in America, show them a Democrat doing something minor and their base will fire them, show a Republican raping kids, convicted of raping women, convicted of 34 felony charges and being a straight up Russian asset the base either reject the findings or worse, say it makes him awesome as it “owns the libs” and they then make them President again with unchecked power.
Here’s the issue. If they look after the business owners and the middle, they’ll win. Even if “put non-white people and all homosexual people into camps” was a part of their manifesto because the conservative mind compartmentalises the good stuff to suppress the bad stuff.
i.e their response will be “I know they were saying that they’d do xyz but I didn’t believe them, I voted for the lower taxes and business rate cuts, not for the camps”. And as long as they were doing well they’d accept this and vote for them again.
“I look after me and my own” is the mantra of most people in this country and that doesn’t extend beyond their front door.

I’m regularly baffled by the UK’s acceptance of an obvious con man who, 70 years ago, would have tried to sell you meat out of a bag in a pub.

If this were Starmer, mainstream media and the right would be front-page news for weeks on end. The Conservatives would be calling for his immediate resignation. Reform would spread more lies and propaganda, misinformation, and lies. And yet this is Reform, mainstream media hasn’t given it the coverage that it deserves, and the right are silent.
