Latvia will transfer another 12 vehicles to Ukraine for use by Ukrainian authorities in wartime conditions. The total market value of these vehicles is €36,600, according to the Ministry of the Interior.
These vehicles are intended for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence’s army units, the Ukrainian National Guard, and the Military Administration of the Izyumsk District.
The vehicles will be delivered to Ukraine by the Agendum association, the Entrepreneurs for Peace foundation, and the Tavi draugi association, which will cover all delivery costs and ensure their transfer to Ukrainian government institutions.
The vehicles to be sent to Ukraine are being selected by the Provisions State Agency.  In Latvia, since the spring of 2023, vehicles confiscated for drunk driving have also been taken over by the state and can be transferred to Ukraine without compensation.
