  12. It was for one reason, the segment would upset Trump. Another company lowers their standards because of Trump.

  14. What I’ve been reading is that Bari Weiss said that the story needed more comment from the administration and gave her staff the number of Stephen Miller. One of the reporters whose emails were leaked, pretty much laid out that they had already asked several people in the administration for comment and none had responded.

    So essentially, they’re handing a kill switch to the Trump administration by saying that editorially they will not publish articles that are critical of the administration without their comment.

  24. Reading the email from 60 Minutes journalist Sharyn Alfonsi, it seems that Weiss expected on the record comments from the administration. But the administration refused to comment. So Weiss is essentially allowing the administration to kill a story by not commenting.
