  1. How did all the bodies end up like this? Surely they dont walk this close together?

  2. Probably still better living conditions than in Russia

  3. “With fellow Russian soldiers” isn’t Magyars birds Ukrainian? I’m probably just missing something.

  4. This is bizarre, gruesome and in many ways disgusting. The fact that we are indulging in this is wrong.

  5. This photo could end up in a history book. The mountain of bodies, the exhaustion of the soldier about to die, the low quality of the drone camera, the scene…

Historians will look at it and imagine what it was like to be a russian soldier, crossing no man’s land under the threat of fpvs

  6. “Yup. That’s me. You probably wonder how I ended up in this situation.”

  7. This sort of photo is the one that needs to be seen by as many as possible. The death and horror in warfare is not comprehensible by numbers

“There was a century of middle class love spent here”

  8. that second pic looks like a very r/AccidentalRenaissance moment

  9. I can’t even count how many but at least more than 4 people there.

  10. He knows he’s about to join his comrades, no panic, just calm acceptance of the inevitable. Rest easy.

  11. Feels like one of the images that will define this conflict once it’s all said and done.

  12. “steady”

couldn’t have written a better caption, it fits the image of soldiers dying a brutal, meaningless death so well.

  13. I just noticed he’s holding a cigarette in his right hand. As a smoker, thank fuck he at least got to have one last smoke before he died. Especially in that literal pit of despair.
