The fundamental points of disagreement between Ukraine and Russia over a potential ceasefire remain unchanged despite efforts to bring the two warring sides to the negotiating table, FRANCE 24’s Gulliver Cragg reported. Russia demands that Ukraine withdraw from Donetsk Oblast, which is part of the Donbass region, while Ukraine insists on strong security guarantees from Western partners, including the US.

  3. 🇺🇸 our EU Friends….. In 2025, the EU continued to import significant amounts of Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG), despite plans to phase out these imports by 2027. The bloc's imports of Russian LNG increased by 7% compared to the previous year, highlighting a contradiction between political commitments and actual purchasing behavior.

  4. But look at the bright side, at least trump's childish incompetent "efforts" have managed to invigorate Russia and give a lot of hope to Putin, so the war can be longer and thus both deadlier, more destructive and costlier.
    Don't know how it's good, but let's pretend it is.

  10. If Ukraine wants to surrender then it must abide by the surrender terms that Russia has put forth many times. The surrendering party does not get to demand terms. Does Europe want Ukraine to win or to surrender? They have not made that clear. In addition, after 4 years of war in Europe's back yard, has Europe created an army to defend itself? If so, is that the Coalition of the Willing we keep hearing about? I am not European or Russian but from the outside it looks to me that Russia is winning Ukraine and could easily use the divide and conquer strategy to defeat Europe. Does Europe still think that Climate Change is the biggest threat?

    Het volgende station is… één van de twee mogelijkheden die overblijven.
    En als ik dan nu nog Lavrov over buitenlandse militairen in Oekraine hoor spreken, waar hij niets over te beslissen heeft…
    ik zou enkel onder United Nations mandaat daar eventueel een vredesmacht plaatsen.

As soon as Zelensky is finally convinced that Europe is a paper tiger, and the United States will no longer give a single dollar and a single missile, he will be forced to sign an agreement.

    NATO future – It's a vestigial organ, like wisdom teeth. Without the United States, NATO is nothing.

  21. Since my tax money is being sent to Ukraine without my consent, I logically prefer a quick end to the war. Prolonged conflicts are expensive. If that means Russia wins, great. And “Krembots,” right.
    Funny how the bots are the ones financing your war through taxes.
