    China / Russia won’t stop them, and would enjoy having conquest back on the table. The EU aren’t unified enough to take any kind of decisive action at the best of times, let alone for a low output island that *left* the EC for fishing rights and has spent years campaigning for independence.

    The con of that independence is that there’s no justification for anyone in Europe (except perhaps Denmark) to put themselves on the line for them.
