Surely you don’t buy a JLR product if you want a car that works?
Sounds like dealership are probably being shitty but the guy strikes me a category 5 bellend. Driving a white Range Rover is a dead giveaway.
I worked as an engineer for a company that designed and built most of the seats for Jaguar Land Rover and the stories I could tell you
A few years ago when the new Discovery came out, it hadn’t been crash tested prior to people buying them and it being on the road. I was working with the test team at the time and we got videos back from the crash testing. The entire driver and passenger seat just broke apart where the bottom and back join together and this was at 50mph.
Another major issue is the number of times seats with the heating caught on fire.
Jaguars and Land Rovers are a death trap
No sane person buys land rovers in the UK anyway, they aren’t fit for purpose in our extremely urban country.
I’ve had a lot of time over the last 10 years or so to talk to people about their cars. The high number of LR vehicles in my area gave me lots of opportunity to ask them what they think.
Nice to look at (if you like that sort of thing) but utterly hopeless at doing what a car should do. Got rid of mine a while back, never ever again, what a let down from day one
> The businessman has received an injunction to move the vehicles by Saturday. He first parked the vehicles outside the Land Rover dealership on Hadfield Road three weeks ago.
> “I’ll just move them to one of the other 74 dealerships, or the head office,” he told BBC Wales.
That’s kind of hilarious. I really want to hear more about this guy’s future battles!
(Though I imagine they’ll sort him out rather than letting him ruin their business for months…)
If he has a lot of money why doesn’t he just take them to court?
Such a shame, as their cars are great. Had two XF 3.0s and a Velar 3.0 over recent years. 2 of the 3 broke down. The Velar stranded me in the wilds of Devon with a disabled passenger.
Never. Ever. Again.
Has anyone seen Mike-Cox….I’m looking for Mike-Cox?
When your parent company produces more reliable cars (known for being actually pants), you know you’re doing something wrong
Yeah that’s not his real name….
I’m surprised the McLaren hasn’t been towed for being on double yellows.
Friend had his evoque engine replaced within 30k miles. Wanted nothing more to do with the company but got lured into part-exing for a jaguar suv. Idiot
Yeah, they suck. I had one and the tyres kept deflating overnight for some reason.
how do people afford these things, they’re like £100k new.
Luckily the dealer doesn’t own a tractor.
Sh1te cars that are rebound to be unreliable and are only bought by those that can afford to repair them.

I’m never buying anything LR make.

The old ones are the best
