Not a surprise tbh. Anglicanism is trying to be more progressive and decentralised to be more modern, but you’re trying to rope back in people who have lost their religion many years ago, while alienating the more conservative believers that were there the entire time.Â
The Catholic Church is a stronger, more top down institution that moves slower, which kind of makes sense for a relgious institution to do.

Its almost as if a Church that was essentially founded to approve a divorce (you know, one of the big things Jesus warned against) doesn’t have a solid foundation.

Maybe York and Canterbury cathedrals will then be able to remove the scaffolding put there so “the Catholics can have it back when we have finished renovating ” … its been several hundred years.Â
