  1. The admin posted video months ago of detainees marched into the prison and they called it ASMR, they staged a whole internet influencer photo shoot with Noem to brag about what they were doing, so it makes no sense that they wanted to censor this so bad.

  2. The Streisand Effect in full force. By axing it, CBS and Bari Weiss guaranteed that 100x more people will seek out and watch this segment than would have ever seen it on a Sunday night. A spectacular own-goal if the goal was to quiet a story.

  9. Project 2025 seeks to give Trump complete control of the entire American media, from TV to cable to radio to the Internet. The goal is to replace all current programming with Trump-centric only shows, mainly Trump propaganda. There was an undercurrent of this in the January 6th attack on the Capitol in that one aspect of the insurrectionist’s plan was to take over all ‘Liberal’ broadcasting in D.C. and use it to promote giving the presidency to Trump.

  15. The most terrifying part of this isn’t even the censorship itself, it’s the precedent.

    Sharyn Alfonsi hit the nail on the head: if the administration’s refusal to comment becomes a valid reason to spike a story, then investigative journalism is officially dead. You’ve just handed the government a ‘kill switch’ for any reporting they don’t like. All they have to do is ghost the reporters, and the story stays in the vault.

    We’re watching the ‘gold standard’ of journalism be dismantled in real-time to protect a merger and soothe a billionaire’s regulatory hurdles. This is exactly what everyone warned would happen when Bari Weiss was brought in.

  23. The worst part is that she knows shes being used as a tool. She doesn’t care, as long as she gets the cash and either the adoration of the maga faithful or ire of everyone else.

    I sincerely hope that when this is all over that there’s very limited or no viable political pressure to just move on in the name of unity.
