Are grey deer an evasive species? Beautiful animal all the same
Fun fact: The Phoenix Park was originally built so the aristocracy could go deer hunting without having to travel far.
Can you elaborate on the blessing?
They’re so beautiful.
I live next to the park and I love walking past the deer. Bring the dog for a walk through some of the wooded areas and if we ever spot them, me and the dog will just stand there looking at them for a few minutes. Find it very peaceful.
Unfortunately tomorrow they’re going to be pestered even more so than normal with everyone bringing their kids to meet them before they go “work with Santy”.
Now if everyone could leave them alone and stop feeding them crap, maybe we ca admire them from afar for a few more years. Despite so many signs telling people to keep away there’s still a lot of idiots lining up to feed them, small children in tow…
Did they find out who cut the head off one recently ?
Not a blessing, you have done a great job to earn it and maintain it. By continuously educating your people to treat them with respect, they have also learned that humans aren’t dangerous. You guys did great.
Shame there’s no wolves though
Yeah, in the daylight but when you’re walking down from St. Marys to the Bus stop at the Chapelizod Gate on a pitch dark moonless night and your torch picks up a herd of those green reflected eyes silently staring at you then it’s more bicycle clips, walk faster kind of gut reaction 🙂
I think its gas that they were there for however long and then one day the zoo opened and they heard Lions roaring and to this day they’ve never seen them and probably go round thinking holy fucking jaysus wtf is that?!?
