Vermont Business Magazine The Burke Area Chamber of Commerce has recognized East Burke Rentals as the 2025 Business of the Year. The award is given to a Burke Chamber member based on nominations from fellow chamber members. The award is meant to celebrate a business that demonstrates exemplary business practices and gives back to the community in various ways.
East Burke Rentals is owned by Allen and Robin Beaupre. The Beaupre’s were nominated by Abby Long, formerly of Kingdom Trails and the current Interim Executive Director of the NEK Collaborative, and Burton Hinton, co-owner of East Burke Market. Both Long and Hinton commented on the Beaupre’s dedication to the community and willingness to give time and resources to make things happen.
Long noted that Al and Robin provide beautiful rental homes that showcase the natural beauty of the region and play a vital role in supporting the local economy by encouraging tourism and repeat visits, but what sets them apart is their unwavering dedication to the community beyond their business.
Said Long, “As generous Kingdom Trails landowners and active members of our local VAST Chapter, they consistently demonstrate what it means to give back. During the devastating flooding events of 2024 and 2025, Al selflessly donated both his time and his equipment to help repair damaged areas; digging water bars, placing culverts, and ensuring critical access was restored. Al and Robin also led the charge in organizing and rebuilding the VAST/Kingdom Trails bridge, the essential link connecting downtown East Burke to our beloved trail networks. Their leadership, sweat equity, and vision were instrumental in not just repairing infrastructure, but in preserving the spirit of connection that makes our community so special.
“Al and Robin embody the very best of Burke: generosity, resilience, and a deep love for the place we call home. Their contributions extend far beyond business—they are the kind of neighbors who roll up their sleeves, lead by example, and inspire others to do the same.”
In response to receiving the award, the Beaupre’s said, “We are so very grateful to the Chamber, community and supporting businesses that honored East Burke Rentals with this nomination of 2025 Business of the Year! To each and every business in the community, we thank you for all you do to make this a great community!!! We “thank you” for the recognition and really appreciate it.”
