boink. And even a nice video of it. How severe that boink went, one can hope enough for the midair cardboard effect we have seen lately.
fyi: crews have been sleeping in their aircraft. I hope that was the case here.
Great hit. Crazy how they are still getting so close to multi-million dollar aircraft with drones
Ooh boy, Budanov is on an “auwtsch, was that expensive?!… anyway” tour
Didn’t see that coming
Perhaps now more undersea drones can be launched, and more underwater bombs planted on infrastructure. It’s prime time to take down the Kerch, negotiations will only benefit from such a public strike on Russia
But looks like a miss, are there other pictures from after the attack?
I need some sat images to believe it is destroyed. The drone looks to overshoot it massively.
Is this as aerodynamic as they could make that square box bolted to the fuselage? Looks like my robovac sensors
so this would be like the US P3 aircraft the subhunters
It’s silly to talk about the cost of an Il-38.
Production stopped in 1972. There are fewer than 60 airframes in total; the aircraft in the video is an Il-38N; Wikipedia says there were eight of them.
Russia can’t make any more. When they’re gone, they’re gone.
If Russia want to replace this capability, they will need to start with a new airframe in current production. This will be neither quick nor easy, because Russia is not the USSR and does not have all the industrial capabilities of the USSR.
The last 2 weeks have been pretty expensive for the Orcs
Each strike like this makes all future strikes easier.
I was hoping it would go through the front window 💥 💥. Where did it hit ?
