  1. It sounds like the cows weren’t actually going for her but for her dog.

The first thing you’re told to do if you get attacked is let go of your dog.

  2. She did well not to panic after the attack. Its always my worry when doing early morning hillwalking, thst the livestock will do something. Even sheep, which I know logically will run away, theres always the chance one will decide to charge

  3. What a strangely-worded headline. It seems to imply that Bovine have the moral capacity/capability to choose to leave her for dead after ‘ambushing’ her and not reflect on their actions and call in the emergency services?

  4. This is why you hillwalk folks. How many people in their 60s do you know who could survive an ordeal like this? Amazingly tough woman.

  5. “ambushed” “left for dead” yes, the cattle planned the whole thing…not just one of the risks of being around hill farming…

  6. Almost every cow attack involves a dog.

Even if the dog is “just playing” with the cows they might attack.

Cows usually show little interest in people, it is dogs that get them excited.

  7. There needs to be more warning signs in areas to let people know about cows.

Absolutely insane that someone can accidentally end up feet away from large animals on a walk.

  8. She’s an idiot, she walked into a field of cattle with her dog , anyone with a brain knows better, she has already to angle the blame on the farmer.
Strange, this happened a while ago, I’m sorry she got hurt, wouldn’t wish it on anyone, but she tried to lead a social media campaign, blaming the farm, she was rightly shot down by many a commenter.
But is now clearly trying make it a big deal again.
It’s suddenly appeared on several media outlets again.

  9. Makes sense the dog was a doodle mutt, I’ll bet money the little monster started it with the cattle.

  10. Ambushed & left for dead? Yeah I’m sure it was premeditated too.

  11. That’s gotta be a first.

I’ve never even heard of someone getting ‘ambushed’ by cows before.

Imagine the camouflage they must have had. Stealth cows. Ninjas.
