Belarus: Developing Polonez-M multiple launch rocket system in partnership with Russia

Moscow – Saba:

Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin stated on Wednesday that his country is jointly developing the Belarusian Polonez-M multiple launch rocket system with Russia.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko was briefed earlier on Wednesday on the launches of the upgraded Polonez-M rocket launcher and the prospects for its modernization, according to the Russian news agency Sputnik.

Russia and Belarus cooperate extensively in all areas, including the military sphere.

On November 10, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated that the Oreshnik missile system, which will begin combat operations in Belarus in December, will not be stationed at a single location.

He said: “We will not disclose details. This is a mobile system, and it will not be stationed in one place. It will patrol specific locations, and from a specific location, it will be able to launch a strike if necessary.”
