2. What about the struggling whale oil industry? How can we light our lamps unless Trump bails them out?

9. The clean energy Bill that was pasted created thousands of jobs with the biggest majority to Red states, now those jobs will be lost, and those in the coal industry who chose to go into a retraining program for clean energy, now have lost their job.

14. Yeah glad that the world is not the USA alone and is weaning off oil and coal big time. So even invading Venezuela will be a phyrric victory because the world in the end in a few decades wont need the oil anymore!

15. Bringing coal back is like saying brining back telegraph poles, steam engines and the Spinning Jenny.

    Even if the mining “came back,” automation and the diminishing demand means mass employment is a pipe dream.
