3. The headline for this article is terrible. Antarctica didn’t “completely collapse” in the Holocene. This particular ***ice shelf*** collapsed and the glacier rapidly thinned, but the ice sheet didn’t collapse.

   Editors need to do their due diligence when coming up with headlines. I get that it’s their job to come up with a headline that sells, but this is just irresponsible.

4. Not exactly news. [Lots of sectors across Antarctica rapidly thinned and retreated during the Holocene](https://tc.copernicus.org/articles/16/1543/2022/). The novel thing about this study is the fact that they attributed it to ocean forcing, at least for this particular glacier/ice shelf.

5. so was it warmer 9000 years ago than it is today ?
