Why does it always have to be like this? What harm would it do to have a cool exterior on the Lego shop?
Anyone want to lead a revolt against Dublin City Council
Always amazed about planning in Dublin. It’s a shambles. At one stage I think there was a proposal to build the childrens hospital on a site at the Mater but it was rejected by An Bord Planaela because it would have a negative impact on the skyline. Obviously Croke Park is a beautiful piece of architecture.
Sorry! No fun allowed…
What if they hosed it down with piss? Would that make it more acceptable to Dublin?
But apparently a bright red plastic Vodafone facade is perfectly okay? 🤔
In fairness that’s in bits
This happens all over the country. These planning boards are full of pathetic little people who love holding power over everyone else. They get off on denying stuff like this.
A killjoy land.
This looks like one of those classic “Good idea, poorly executed” situations.
Ffs, the government is truly set out on not allowing anything fun
Not in my, uh, front yard?
Typical. That is the reason Statoil left the country because they put so many restrictions on them they just up and left. Sold out to Shell Ireland who is no Circle K the ripoff company.

The full decision from the “killjoys” in the Planning Dept of DCC is here:

Seems like a reasonable decision to me.
