Let’s not forget that the UK government funded a number of psychiatrists to publish ‘science’ claiming the condition was largely sociogenic and not necessarily a biological/physical illness. A conclusion I am sure was not ignored when deciding whether or not to compensate veterans for their disabilities
I think one of these psychiatrists ended up with a knighthood
