Former officials accused of covering up North Korea shooting acquitted in trial

A Seoul-based court on Friday acquitted five South Korean officials involved in the alleged cover-up of the fatal shooting of a government official by North Korean soldiers during the Moon Jae-in administration in late 2020.

The Seoul Central District Court told NK News on Friday that former National Security Adviser Suh Hoon and four other officials were acquitted due to insufficient evidence against them.
