Both are absolutely gorgeous. The first tie of this competition for me.
The Greek
Greenville takes it for me. I prefer the depth of color of its emeralds. And it was so perfect for Eugenie’s wedding, it matched her eyes so well.
The Greville!
I bought a $15 knockoff off of ebay, I like it so much.
The one Eugene is wearing sits lower and/or has less height so it’s a better tiara for some occasions. Both are beautiful.
Greville, but not the way Camilla is wearing it.
The Greek tiara wins for me; the Greville is arguably more elegant, but in terms of sheer bling, the Balkans often win.
With its paired E’s, it’s one of the few tangible reminders of one of the black sheep of the Greek royal family (well, by marriage), Queen Elisabeth, born Elisabeth (or EIizaveta, or Elisabetta—she use many variations of her name) of Romania. I’m fascinated by her, although she seems to have been, by the most charitable estimation, a difficult and complicated woman.
Greville. The Greek looked too big/heavy on Q Anne-Marie when she was younger, whereas the Greville’s design looked suitable on both a young and older wearers
Why is the Greville a kokoshnik? I thought kokoshniks were the spiky ones
The Greville..i just love a kokoshnik tiara. Although I like the pairing of the drops with the parure
The Greville, it’s one of my favorite tiaras.
The Greek Parure looks like costume jewelry to me.
The Greek Emerald Parure.
The greville. After reading that the Greek motifs are the letter E for the original owner, I can’t unsee it
The Greville Kokoshnik is my fave of all the tiaras.
Gotta say, Camilla wearing the Greville after Eugene was a bad move on her part. Given it hadn’t been worn in decades (if I got that correct?) before Eugenie’s wedding, Camilla should’ve just left it alone. It sorta screams “look at me! I can wear whatever I want whenever I want” kinda vibe.
The Greville Kokoshnik is hard to beat. It’s so elegant.Â
Does the Greek tiara have something spelled out in the metal?
I prefer the Greek
The Greville is my pick. The way Camilla has styled it makes my eye twitch, though.
